AI.R Taletorium is an AI-powered interactive storytelling platform that transforms the art of fairy tales into a collaborative act between humans and machines. The system functions as an AI storyteller and illustrator, generating visual interpretations of user-created stories in real time. It invites children and families to imagine, narrate, and visually shape their own tales together—turning oral storytelling into a shared digital experience.
Malaysia is home to a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions—many of which are transmitted orally from generation to generation. Yet, in the face of rapid digitalization and modernization, many of these intangible cultural heritages—folktales, myths, proverbs, and ethical teachings—are at risk of fading from memory. At the same time, young learners are growing up in digital environments that often lack local cultural relevance or emotional depth.
AI.R Taletorium seeks to bridge this gap by offering a platform where children can co-create and engage with traditional stories in new, meaningful ways. Through artificial intelligence, computer vision, and interactive collaboration, participants can tell a story, illustrate its characters or scenes, and see their creations brought to life by the AI in real time.
The project encourages parent–child interaction, creative exploration, and cross-generational learning, turning storytelling into an educational and emotionally enriching experience. Beyond entertainment, it serves as a tool for cultural preservation and values education, helping younger generations reconnect with local wisdom and imagination through digital means.
